Ida XR Studio promotes the identities and ideas of women, non-binary and trans people in the immersive industry via three core strands of work:
Research, The Ida Network and Ida Studio.

The Ida Vision

Ida XR Studio was founded in 2022 in order to create a space for marginalised genders in the immersive tech sector to come together and be celebrated. The studio looks to highlight the needs of the community and respond accordingly, ensuring Ida is contributing new and needed avenues of support and expression for women, non-binary and trans people, whilst embedding an understanding of intersectionality into all our work which is organised into the following core strands:

Research

Equality, Diversity and Inclusion research provides the evidence required to make the case for change: we survey the community to hear and report its needs, leading to recommendations which ask the industry to take action. Ida’s programme is shaped by the results of the research, ensuring we respond to the, challenges and aspirations of those in the immersive community.

The Ida Network

The Ida Network is for women, non-binary and trans people working, or hoping to work, within the immersive tech sector. We aim to celebrate and make space for this community, via meet up events at various events and festivals across the UK. This is a safe, inclusive space for us to meet new people in our community, make new connections or even start a new collaboration or venture.

Ida Studio

Ida Studio is where we celebrate the wealth of talent that exists in the community by promoting one another’s work. The studio will also collaborate with the community to develop new work led and created by women, non-binary and trans creators. The Ida Studio is still in development.
